About
Scott Quang Hoàng (/kwaːŋ˧˧ hwaːŋ˨˩/, chữ Hán: 斯科特·光·黃; born 9 July 2002), better known by his stage name Scott Hoang, is an Australian classical pianist.
In his preschool class, he enjoyed performing keyboard and xylophone and his preschool teacher recommended getting private music lessons. In 2008, he started learning piano, and in July 2010, he began his Suzuki Method music learning with Susan Spooner until the end of 2017, after which he was a student of Colin Watts (January 2018 - September 2018), Rosemary Anner (October 2018 - July 2019), and Roderick and Nola MacFarlane (July 2019 - June 2024).
His past victorious moment as a student of Roderick and Nola MacFarlane is his accomplishment of the Suzuki Method in Piano such as Level 8 in January 2020, Level 9 in April 2020, Level 10 at the end of 2020 and the final Level 11 at March 2021. He has completed all of his Suzuki Piano Graduation Certificate in December 2021 and he has also passed his Piano Certificate of Performance with Honours in June 2022 which he's currently studying for AMusA level. Scott has benefited greatly from learning with the Suzuki Method and his classical piano music career.
Scott completed his undergraduate degree Bachelor of Music at Western Sydney University at the end of 2023 and now he is currently a student of TAFE since July 2023. Currently, important teachers and mentors include Erica Booker.
